Congratulations to all 33 band members who participated today and made our band sound and look so good. Today's performances topped off a great marching season with our best showing yet. Everyone of you can be very proud of your success. Many thanks to James Taylor for doing a great job as our Drum Major. Also, a big thank you for our marching chaperones and all who assisted in a variety of ways. 

Let's keep up this high standard as we move ahead.

During the summer, although many of you will be traveling and taking breaks at different times, each band will meet once per week starting the week of July 9. Make note of these times, and if you are in town, I would like you to come and enjoy playing some new music in a fun atmosphere without the pressure of performances. 

Juniors: Tuesdays, 6-7:30PM
Intermediates: Thursdays, 6-7:30PM
Seniors: Wednesdays, 6-7:30PM

Your friends are welcome to come along and check us out. It's a great way to keep in shape, musically, and have fun.

If any of you would like to learn another instrument, you can register for the beginner program and work your way up through the levels at your own pace. A great bargain for only $25. Beginners will meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5-6PM.
 
I wish you all an enjoyable summer however you choose to spend it and I look forward to us being together again for our first event of the new school year on Saturday, September 8 (Candlelight Ceremony at North Vancouver Cemetery). To prepare for this there will be two rehearsals for the Performance Band (combined Intermediates and Seniors) on Tuesday, September 5 and Wednesday, September 6, both at 6:15PM. Please mark your calendars now and plan to be there.

Please keep your marching music and O Canada in your flip chart so they will be ready to use again next time. We will collect these at upcoming rehearsals.
